Chemestmed is pleased to announce the signing of the Grant Agreement for the CALM6A project under the European Innovation Council (EIC) Pre-Accelerator programme.
Programme highlights:
- Selected as 1 of 70 companies funded
- Chosen from 1,056 applications
- Companies represented from 30 countries
- Awarded €445,558 in non-dilutive funding for CALM6A
- Project start date: July 2026
Being selected in this highly competitive deep-tech programme represents a significant validation of our scientific approach, team, and long-term vision.
CALM6A builds on Chemestmed's pioneering work in METTL3 activation and aims to develop a new generation of bifunctional METTL3 activators for the treatment of anxiety disorders. Unlike existing therapies that primarily target neurotransmitter systems and symptom management, our approach seeks to restore the underlying biological pathways involved in stress adaptation and neuronal resilience through an epitranscriptomic mechanism. The CALM6A project has the potential to establish an entirely new class of disease-modifying psychiatric therapeutics.
We would like to thank our collaborators, partners, and supporters whose contributions have helped make this milestone possible.
