Welcoming New Team Members to Chemestmed
We are excited to welcome two new members to the Chemestmed team – Baiba Brumele and Juhan Pikamäe – who bring valuable experience and fresh perspectives to our research efforts.
Baiba is a Ph.D. candidate in biomedical technology. Her research has primarily focused on methyltransferases and their involvement in tumorigenesis and other pathologies, making her a valuable addition to our team as we continue to advance our understanding of epitranscriptomic targets.
Juhan holds a degree in molecular and cell biology from the University of Tartu. Additionally, he has completed an internship in neurobiology at Humboldt University in Berlin. Currently pursuing his master's in biomedicine, Juhan is conducting research in developmental biology using fruit fly models. His strong interest in physiological and pathological epigenetic processes inspired him to join Chemestmed and contribute to cutting-edge work in this field.
